Dr. Roslyn Johnson Martin, affectionately known as "Dr. Roz," is an award-winning educator and researcher dedicated to unlocking human potential. With over three decades of leadership in higher education, her work empowers individuals to cultivate cognitive vitality and achieve lifelong flourishing through neuroscience-informed principles.

Founder and CEO of REIGNITE Optimal Learning Solutions, LLC™, Dr. Roslyn Johnson Martin is an educator, published author, researcher, leader in higher education, national and international conference presenter, and lifelong advocate for human potential and cognitive vitality. A University of Michigan graduate with more than three decades of experience in education, leadership, and professional development, the depth and breadth of her work is robust. Dr. Martin's academic career has spanned every stage of the learning journey - from teaching young children in early childhood classrooms to preparing future educators at the university level, mentoring subject matter experts, industry leaders and scholars in pedagogy and instructional methodology, shepherding professional and post-graduate course development and curricular management for research universities, to teaching English as a Second Language in England.

Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Martin has served in numerous leadership roles in higher education, including professor, Dean for Academic Affairs, and Director of Professional and Continuing Education. Her work has included curriculum development, academic leadership, strategic planning, faculty/staff development, mentoring educators (Pre-K to higher ed) and the creation of transformational learning experiences for adult learners and professionals. Her academic background includes advanced studies in human growth and development, education, instructional leadership and neuroscience-informed teaching and learning.

Moreover, Dr. Martin has spent years studying and practicing principles of integrative health, comprehensive alternative medicine, neuroplasticity, neurogenesis, and holistic wellness. A lifelong naturopathic-minded self-practitioner and advocate for preventive, whole-body health approaches, she is deeply passionate about helping others understand the extraordinary capacity of the brain and body to adapt, heal, grow, and thrive across the lifespan. Desiring to deepen her knowledge of human growth, change, and stability in the later stages of the life cycle, Dr. Martin is presently embarking upon a second doctoral degree in gerontolgy and longevity. 

As an impassioned advocate for continuing scholarship, Dr. Martin conducts research in the areas of education and human development across the lifespan, which she has presented nationally and internationally as a keynote speaker and panelist. Her first book, REIGNITE: Harnessing Neurogenesis to Age Optimally and Curate a Healthspan of Vitality and Purpose, is now available. In this book, Dr. Martin explores neurogenesis and how the brain can generate new neurons throughout life, offering evidence-informed strategies to support cognitive vitality, enhance resilience and optimize the healthspan.
